Hobson Bay City Council are looking for a new municipal building surveyor. I was told of this when I called the council with a query today (Date: 21/8/2026). Marcus Collard (who’s been the MBS of Hobson Bay City Council last 5 years) left recently as of Thursday (Date: 13/8/2026).

The suburbs Hobson Bay City Council are responsible for include the following:-

·         Williamstown.

·         Brooklyn.

·         Altona.

·         Altona Meadows.

·         Altona North.

·         Seabrook.

·         Seahome.

·         Spotswood.

·         South Kingsville.

·         Newport.

·         Laverton.

A few things I know about this council is that they do issue building permits (mainly residential, some commercial), and they use ‘Blue Beam’ as their default ‘PDF’ program.

Hobson Bay City Council have not advertised on seek yet for a new ‘municipal building surveyor’. However, if anyone (registered BS-U’s) are interested in being the MBS of this particular Council, their building department details are as per the below:-
